Community policies
Plain-English rules that keep Lesson Collective fair for the teachers who build it.
Your materials belong to you
Activities you create and share remain your property and may be removed by you at any time.
Fair-use downloads
To protect teachers' work from mass copying, each member can download up to 30 new files per day. Re-downloading the same file doesn't count, and very fast or unusual download activity may briefly pause downloads or prompt a review by our team. Normal unit preparation is never penalized.
No sharing logins or materials
Your membership is for you and your own classroom. Materials and logins may not be shared with people who aren't members. Doing so will result in your account being revoked.
Creator payouts & revenue-share
Lesson Collective is nothing without its Creator community. Giving a sizable portion of revenue back to Creators and optimizing revenue-share for contributors is a priority.
Creator revenue-share is distributed based on the quantity of high-quality activities that members actually use. Creators who contribute more five-star activities that are utilized by members earn a larger share of the revenue allocated to Creators.
Payouts are given monthly. Removed materials do not count toward Creator payouts. Revenue-share is subject to change as the company grows.
Creators who are eligible to receive a payout will be prompted to complete a W-9 form. The form must be completed, submitted, and accepted before any payments can be received.
This describes the planned payout program. Paid memberships and Creator payout processing are not yet enabled. The exact revenue-share percentage and calculation have not been finalized.
